An Invitation to Join Lauren in the Breathtaking Andes Mountains

There are few things I love in the world more than skiing. It is definitely in my top 3. On the Podium as they say in ski racing talk.

If you're in love with snow, beyond any other physical substance; if you have a complex and varied relationship with it, having multiple words, shadings and slang to discuss its complexity, then you know how I feel about winters.

Ten years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to ski and teach EMYoga at Portillo, and I've wanted to return ever since. This is finally that year!

I want to show all of you, ski lovers and EMYoga lovers, how incredible, off the hook, amazing this place is! I am literally grinning ear to ear every day with the knowledge that I'm going back to the famous yellow hotel in the Andes this July, and I want to invite you to join me.

One of my missions as the founder of EMYoga is to build community around the world.

A Special Experience

This isn't just another EMYoga retreat; it's my perfect blend of exhilarating skiing in a breathtaking location with rejuvenating daily EMYoga practices.

But honestly, the community piece is what I'm most excited about - sharing meals, swapping stories, laughing about our adventures, and making friends from all over the world who love skiing and EMYoga just as much as I do. These connections last way beyond our week in the Andes.

Why I Love Portillo

Nestled high in the Andes at 2,880 meters above sea level, Portillo is not just a ski resort—it's a legendary destination with a rich history dating back to hosting the 1966 World Championships.

With over 1,235 acres of skiable terrain set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake of the Inca, Portillo offers some of the most breathtaking skiing in the Southern Hemisphere.

What makes Portillo truly special is its intimate atmosphere. With a maximum of just 450 guests per week and limited day visitors, you'll enjoy uncrowded slopes, minimal lift lines, and a genuine sense of community.

The resort's Saturday-to-Saturday ski weeks include everything you need: accommodations, lift passes, gourmet meals, and access to premium amenities.

For families, Portillo offers daily supervised activities for children including costume parties, scavenger hunts, and games—plus complimentary daycare for ages four to seven.

After exhilarating days on the slopes, join me for rejuvenating EMYoga, then unwind in the heated outdoor pool or hot tubs.

Surrounded by majestic Andean peaks reflecting in the Lake of the Inca, you'll experience a perfect blend of adventure and peace that can only be found in this special corner of the world.

Morning: 7-8 AM

EMYoga Full class: Renew, Integrate, Stretch, Energize
I will lead a full EMYoga class, geared toward the athlete and keeping the body strong and fit for a lifetime of playing. One hour a day of this deep integrative feel-good practice will make your body start to crave it. This class is also open to guests at the hotel.

Evening: 6-7 PM

Mealtimes with me and the EMYoga community. This is your opportunity to deepen your relationships with our global EMYoga community. (You can opt out of EMYoga mealtimes, in which case the Maitre D will seat you at a table that will be yours for the week.)
